In 1992, founder Marc Dole began working on CGI animation as a contractor working from his garage. Eight award-winning years later, he had worked with client's like PBS and the Discovery Channel on cutting-edge animations. To help with his growing client base, Marc founded M2-3D to service video companies and agencies.

By the end of 2003, the company had grown to 8 full time employees, with a web department that was as big as the original animation service. In the face of such growth, Marc decided to expand again. In January of 2004, M2-3D renamed itself Hatchling to reflect our creative talents and broad skill set. Today, Hatchling continues to grow as we deliver top-quality work to clients like Liberty Mutual, Reebok, Court TV, Bose, and more.
