Overview: Montreal-based Blind Ferret Entertainment is working with Hatchling Studios to transform its comic series Ctrl+Alt+Del into 2D animated shorts for the Internet, available at www.cad-animation.com. Convinced they have the key demographics that Hollywood executives are seeking; Blind Ferret plans to eventually use these shorts to pitch their project as a series pilot to the television networks.

Creative: The goal of the animated series was to capture the look and, more importantly, the feel of the popular comic. Hatchling recreated the style of the original creator.

Technical: Opting for traditional input methods, the animators at Hatchling used drawing tablets coupled with Macromedia flash, to hand draw, color, and dimensionally shade each frame of animation in "the old Warner Bros and Disney style."
